About 0x41 Labs

One person who assesses the technology and then owns it.

0x41 Labs is not an agency model with sales, project management and rotating developers. The technical assessment and the implementation sit with the same person — with everything that means in terms of responsibility and of limits.

What 0x41 Labs stands for

Technology is the tool. The dependable decision is the goal.

Software development does not start with “which technology should we use?” but with “which problem should be solved — and what has to be settled first?”

The real work is rarely writing code. It is translating an unclear business requirement into a technical decision that still holds in two years.

Understand the problem first. Then decide. Then build.

Working together

One technical point of contact instead of several interfaces.

In many software projects responsibility is spread across consulting, project management, design, development and infrastructure. That can work — but it creates handover paths where exactly the technical details that matter get lost.

At 0x41 Labs assessment and implementation stay connected. I work alongside internal IT teams, business departments, management and external suppliers — often as an independent technical counterpart to an incumbent provider.

Direct communication. Short decision paths. The whole system in view.

The offer

From technical clarification to a running system.

The areas build on each other. Where a project starts depends on how settled its requirements and architecture already are.

Technical clarification

Requirements, target architecture, options and effort range before development starts.

Feasibility

Investigate critical technical assumptions and risks early, instead of discovering them mid-project.

Proof of concept

Practically validate the one assumption the project depends on.

Software development

Frontend, backend, data model, APIs and custom business logic.

Integration

Connecting existing systems, ERP/CRM landscapes, APIs and external services.

Operations

Docker, Linux, cloud, CI/CD, deployment and production stabilisation.

Confidentiality

Why there are no client names here.

Some of the projects are subject to confidentiality and security requirements. Publicly showing client names, logos, architecture diagrams or system details would breach those commitments — even where it would be more convenient for marketing.

The references on this site are therefore anonymised and show the type of problem, the scope of responsibility and the result. The same restraint applies to your project: information is not passed on and not used as a reference unless you explicitly agree to it.

Confidentiality is not a limitation on the presentation. It is part of the service.

The actual core skill

When the solution is not obvious, the real technical work begins.

Not every challenge can be solved with a framework, a SaaS product or a plugin. Sometimes data has to be processed in a particular way. Sometimes systems have to be connected that were never designed for it. And sometimes it is genuinely open whether a requirement can be met reliably at all.

That is the point where an independent assessment makes the difference — and where an honest answer is sometimes “not like this”.

“That is not possible” is not always the end of the question. Sometimes it is the start of the actual analysis.

How I work

Clear, direct and technically grounded.

First the problem is understood. Only then does deciding, validating and building happen.

  1. 01

    Frame

Understand the goal, the problem and the system landscape — operationally, not only technically.

  2. 02

    Clarify

Make risks, architecture and effort dependable before development budget is committed.

  3. 03

    Build

Implement with focus, with the technical questions decided rather than left open.

  4. 04

    Hand over & evolve

Stabilise close to production, hand over documented, and extend along real requirements.

0x41 Labs

A technical name for a technical way of working.

“0x41” is a hexadecimal representation. For 0x41 Labs the name stands for a technically grounded approach: precise, direct, systematic.

“Labs” does not stand for a research laboratory but for the intent to investigate technical problems, decide them, and build working software from that.

Analyse. Decide. Build.

Your project

Want your project assessed technically?

Describe at a high level what should be built and which technical question is still open. After a short review you will get the next sensible step.
