Corporate Software · Analytics · System Integration
Analytics software for a complex corporate environment.
For a German group in the hospitality and food service sector we built custom analytics and business software that brings operational data and existing systems together in one central application.

The task
When the data exists but no central system comes out of it.
A larger corporate environment produces a lot of operational data every day: revenue, transactions, locations, products, business metrics and process data.
The challenge is usually not generating data. It is bringing it together from different systems, preparing it sensibly and making it usable for the business.
How does distributed operational data become one central, usable and understandable information platform?
The solution
A central software layer for data, analytics and reporting.
Instead of replacing the existing systems, we built a custom software solution that processes data from the existing landscape and makes it available in one central application.
That creates an additional software layer between the operational systems and the commercial reporting.

Not every existing system has to be replaced. Sometimes the better solution is connecting them properly.
Integration
Existing systems become part of a higher-level architecture.
A key part of the work was integrating existing operational systems, in particular processing data from the point-of-sale environment. That data had to be ingested, processed and made available to the analytics logic.

An integration is not good because data moves. It is good when the data can actually be used afterwards.
Analytics
Operational data becomes business information.
The central application processes the available data and presents it in a form the business can work with. What matters is not showing as many charts as possible, but surfacing the information that is genuinely relevant to the commercial questions.

The dashboard is only the visible surface. The real work happens in the data processing and business logic behind it.
End to end
From data source to report.
The implementation spanned several technical layers — from processing existing data through backend and business logic to the user interface and production operations.

- Frontend & backend
- Database & APIs / integrations
- Data processing & analytics
- Docker & infrastructure
- CI/CD & deployment
The software was not built as a single dashboard. It was designed as a complete system.

Which process should work better?
Whether existing software needs extending, systems need connecting or a fully custom application needs building: the first step is understanding the actual problem.
